IRS 2021 Filing Season Opens Feb 12
The IRS announced that the 2021 tax filing season will begin on Feb 12 this year. This is later than normal, it usually opens late in January. The IRS needed additional time this year to make adjustments for the tax law changes signed into effect on Dec 27th that provided a second round of Economic Impact payments.
This means that the IRS will not accept any e-filed returns until Feb 12th
